The aim of the research was to determine the impact of supplementation with copper as bioplex with lysine, wheat bran and herbs on Ca, Mg and vitamin F content in breast muscles of turkey hens. The experiment was carried out on 5 groups of Big-6 hens during a 12 week raising period. The birds were kept in analogous conditions, the optimum ones for meat turkeys fattening. All the hen groups were fed ad libitum with standard full-ration mixtures and they had free access to drinking water. Control groups I was not supplemented in any way. Groups II and V were given Cu-bioplex supplement to drinking water: 15 mg/cubic dm H2O (II) and 45 mg/cubic dm H2O (V), respectively. Group III was supplemented with 15 mg/cubic dm and 10 percent addition of wheat bran. Group IV was supplemented with 1 percent the following herb mixture in fodder: purple coneflower, great nettle, horsetail, shepherd's purse, marigold flower, hawthorn and arun fruit. After 12-week raising the turkey hens were slaughtered. During the dissection of the cooled carcasses samples of breast muscles were taken for analyses. The content of vitamin F (linoleic, linolenic and arachidic acids) in the muscles fat was determined by means of gas chromatography. In the breast muscles fat of turkey hens supplemented with Cu- bioplex (mg/cubic dm H2O ) with an addition of wheat bran and in the group with 1 percent herb addition, an increase of vitamin F was noticed, especially of the linoleic and linolenic acids. In the group with an addition of copper bioplex (15mg/cubic dm H2O) and wheat bran, higher Ca and Mg content was recorded in the breast muscles. A high dose of Cu-bioplex (45 mg/cubic dm H2O) caused a drop in the arachidic acids content. The Ca and Mg levels in the breast muscles of this hen group were also lower than in the other tested groups
