Potatoes cultivation is of great importance for rational agricultural production, playing a key role in crop rotation. Growing of the potatoes is specially important on the light soils, where neither sugar beets, soil fertility, weed control as well as on yielding. The potatoes adventageously influence on soil fertility, weed control as well as on yielding of the subsequent crops. Potatoes are a healthy and well-digestible food supplying the protein of full value, vitamin C and vitamin of B group, the necessary mineral components, potassium and iodin in particular. Potato tubers cumulate a little toxic compounds from environment, heavy metals and pesticides inclusive. Nitrate content remains at a low level, acceptable in the nutrients for children and babies. The potatoes are also an important raw material for the industry
