Phenotypical manifestation, variability and heritability of fertility traits in pigs, 3: weaning to conception period

The aim of this research was to investigate the phenotypic expression, variability and heritability of weaning - conception period (Z-O). The overall mean value of Z-O was 11.1 days and varied between farms (P is less than 0.01), parities (P is less than 0.01) and years (P is less than 0.01). Heritability coefficients for Z-O period in the first 50 and the first 10 days after weaning litters, varied between farms from 0.008 to 0.023 and from 0.093 to 0.331.
