Content of macro- and microelements in alfalfa samples from 12 different localities in Vojvodina region (Serbia), was investigated by methods prescribed by ISO standards. It was found that microelements show higher content variability in alfalfa samples from different localities, whereby iron should be stressed (20.00-271.01 mg/kg). Considering all the minerals, the least content variability is found in phosphorus, magnesium and sodium, and somewhat in calcium. According to the results obtained, when making the formula for animal ration, it is necessary to know the exact content of mineral matters in feedstuffs used.
