Pomological properties of mid late peach cultivars

Properties of nine introduced peach cultivars in comparison with the standard cultivar (Redhaven) were studied at the Experimental Estate Radmilovac of the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade, Serbia, during the period of 1996-2003. The aim of these studies was to select the best cultivars for commercial growing. The ripening time of investigated cultivars varied from three days before to 11 days after the ripening time of Redhaven. Cropping of all cultivars was less then standard. Cultivars Flavocrest, Redtop and Glohaven were the best evaluated for organoleptic fruit properties. The best overall characteristics were shown by cvs Glohaven and Redtop, as well as, the standard cv Redhaven.
