Effects of water primary treatment plants - the lake system the Loop of Begej for contaminated river Begej with industrial and municipal waste water of Zrenjanin and the annual costs are given in this paper. The results of examinations of dominant factors on nutrients (phosphate and nitrite content) in Begej water - in the town zone, lakes 1 and 3 with added primary treated water and in untreated lake 2 are discussed.
