Domestic market and Serbia in the foreign trade exchange of cereals

Based in an overview of some major market indices positive trends were registered on the world and international market of cereals during the period 1989-2005. However, in Serbia due to the well-known historical, social, political and economic issues negative trends were registered in the indices studied with regard to both marketing and trade of these products. Negative trends were most prominent in the output and structure of production, i.e. trade on the domestic market and foreign trade exchange. Special attention was paid to the possible directions and measures of production development and export of the products analyzed. The importance of developing programmes for the organization of all those involved in the reproduction of the products studied was stressed especially of those in rural regions.
