Results revealed that both DOA neem and NSKE were highly toxic to common cutworms when the insects had eaten these substances. The common cutworms treated with DOA neem by feeding method at conc. of Aza A 10-50 ppm had mortality at 7 days after testing as 58.3-80.7 percent which was not significantly different to that of the common cutworms treated with NSKE at conc. 2.5 percent (W/V) (containing Aza A 30 ppm) and that of the common cutworms treated with NSKE at conc. 5 percent (W/V) (containing Aza A 30 ppm) which had mortality at 7 days after testing as 70.7 and 72.9 percent. Also, the mortality at 7 days after testing of both NSKE 2.5 percent (W/V) and NSKE 5 percent (W/V) were not significantly different, The 5-day old common cutworm treated with DOA neem conc. Aza A 10-50 ppm by feeding method had trend of mortality percentage at 7 days after testing as linear equation (Y=54.82+0.55X), Y=mortality percentage, and X=conc. of Aza in DOA neem diluted in ppm. Then, when 70-80 percent mortality in 7 days after testing by feeding method of common cutworms was required, therefore, the DOA neem diluted to contain Aza A conc. of 28-46 ppm should be used, On the contrary , both DOA neem and NSKE were slightly toxic to common cutworms when the insects had contacted with these substances by spraying, As a result, the common cutworms contacted with the DOA neem containing Aza A as high as 150 ppm by spraying showed only 10 percent mortality, however, the common cutworms contacted with NSKE 5percent (W/V) containing Aza A as high as 60 ppm by spraying showed no mortality apparently. Besides, the common cutworm eggs dipped in both DOA neem containing Aza A as high as 150 ppm well as NSKE 5 percent (W/V) containing Aza a as high as 60 ppm showed no statistically significant reduction in hatchability.
