A metabolic experiment was conducted in 6 castrated male Mong Cai pigs (BW =48.67kg) according to the latin spuare method. The experment was to indentify effect of diet protein levels to feed intake and Nitrogen retention in growing Mong Cai pigs. The pigs was fed by 1 of 6 different diets contained 11 percent CP, 13, 15, 17, 19, or 21 percent CP. The result shown that feed intake and N-Retention of Mong Cai pigs fed by the diets contained different protein levels was quite different (p0.05). More protein contained in diet more feed intake, especeially the protein intake. However, in the diets contained high protein levels (17 - 21 percent CP) there was no significant difference in DM intake betwween treatments (p0.05).
