Research results of species composition, community structure, biotopic distribution and seasonal activity of spider wasps (Hymenoptera, Pompilidae) in Polesye Radiological Nature Reserve of the Republic of Belarus were presented. Over 1989-2000 in 11 biotopes of studied reserve with the help of Malaise traps there were collected 1522 specimens (1069 females and 453 males) of spider wasps belonging to 40 species. Overwhelming majority of spider wasps was collected in summer period and showed the existence of only one generation. Episyron arrogans, Dipogon bifasciatus, Agenioideus cinctellus, Evagetes pectinipes and Anoplius infuscatus had two generations as in course of the season there were registered two activity peaks of female and male species. In the open biotopes the Pompilidae number was twice as many as in the forest ones. Comparative data of spider wasps species occurrence in the studied reserve from May till October were presented. The highest total number spider wasps was registered on the sandy lengths along Pripyat river-bed where the average number of specimens collected by one trap was 146. The most numerous species in the studied biotopes were the following: Episyron rufipes (23,4%), Caliadurgus fasciatellus (18.7%), Priocnemis perturbator (6.0%), Episyron arrogans (5.6%), Agenioideus cinctellus (4.6%), Dipogon bifasciatus (4.4%)
