Significant collection of home varieties of Hippophae rhamnoides L. is being gathered in the Central Botanical Gardens of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The fruits of eleven varieties and climatypes of Hippophae rhamnoides L. from the collection were included in the research. Fatty acid analysis of lipid composition of oil, seeds and fruits cuticle was conducted by the gas-liquid chromatography method. The highest content of palmitin acid content (16:0) was observed in oil and fruit cuticle (21,2 - 39,15% and 24,77 – 32,77%). Content of palmitin acid in seeds was low in all samples. At comparison of diversity in fatty acids accumulation among different varieties and climatypes of Hippophae rhamnoides L. it was revealed that the most significant distinctions were observed in fatty acid composition of cuticle. Comparative anlysis on component composition and molecular mass of reserve proteins of seeds of some varieties of Hippophae rhamnoides L. was realized by electrophoresis. Prospective applications of fatty acid composition and protein composition of seeds of different varieties and climatypes data to the certification and identification of sea buckthorn accessions in botanical collections are discussed. It was noted that for receiving more authentic differences on genome level and information about genes expression products it is necessary to use more precise methods of identification and certification of plant objects with DNA-markers
