[Features of morphogenesis skeletal muscles and digestive system at broiler chickens in postnatal ontogenesis]

Khomutinnik, E.I.
Morphometric parametres of development of somatic muscles, liver and digestive system of poultry are investigated in age aspect. It is established, that muscles develop with different intensity that depends on their functional accessory. Postnatal growth of skeletal myocytes occurs at various muscles with different speed. Growth rate of chest muscles progressively accrues after hatching up to 5-month age of chickens, then decrease occurs. Growth rate of femoral muscules is higher than at chest muscules, and the gain of their weight is made more intensively in the beginning of last week of incubation. In postembryonal period growth rate of muscles is observed to 5 month age and after that it remains high enough up to 10-month age. To 42-day age of animals diameter of muscular fibres increases at chickens almost in 6 times, while pigs and at lambs - twice. It means that intensity of growth of muscular tissue at chickens-broilers is considerably above, than at other kinds of animals. Morphometric parametres of liver reach an optimum level at the beginning of sexual (120 days) and physiological (150 days) maturity, that allows to consider these terms as age of morphological maturity of body. The greatest thickening of wall of the muscular part of stomach is marked between 15 and 30 days
