[Investigation of influence of angle of inclination of rods relative to the radial direction and up load on soil puddling by rodding compactors of the combined assemblies]

Results of the experimental investigation of the of influence of angle of inclination of rods relative to the radial direction of rodding compactors of the combined assemblies and up load on shrinkage degree of freshly plowed average-lime and peat soils, specific gravity for seed sowing and seeding depth were presented. Research results showed that the increasing of angle of inclination of rods relative to the radial direction increased the degree of shrinkage soil plowing layer and decreased the depth of pressed seed beds. The optimal seed bed density and depth was formed after the double-rodding compactors in aggregate with spring tines and double-pointed shovels with angle of inclination of 17 and 30 degrees. Experiment results in the conditions of peat soil proved the necessity of application of the combined assemblies equipped with knife-shaped battery and rodding compactors with higher load-carrying capacity.
