[Ant species (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) on different cocoa plantation systems at Donggala Regency (Indonesia)]

The number of species and individuals of ants were recorded in three cocoa plantation agricultural systems (intensive or Sb1, semi intensive or Sb2, and not intensive or Sb3) in randomized complete block design experiment. It was obtained that the number of ant species in Sb3 (4.66) was higher than those in Sb2 (3.33) and Sb1 (2.66). Similar findings were observed with the number of individuals where Sb3 was found to give the highest range of individual numbers (83.33 - 90.00 percent) compared to those found in Sb2 (56.66-66.66 percent) and in Sb1 (50.00-56.66 percent).
