In order to study of adaptability and reaction of the different rice genotype to environment condition in rice cultivation area of country and to determining of the most stable and high yielding varieties from the viewpoint of grain yield, Study of adaptability of quality lines of rice were carried out in important rice cultivation area of country. Therefore , a number of 16 quantity and quality of pure lines (quality lines from IRRI) selected from experiment material and two check varieties of Nemat and tarom, totally a number of 18 lines and varieties. Using of complete block design with three replicates and three years was carried out in Mazandaran (Amol and Tonekabon) and Gilan provinces. To study of main and interaction effects, optained data (grain yield) was respectively analysed for each area and year and total data were complete analysis variance for 3 area and years. In the main time to determine of stability and adaptability or lines, comparison method ranges of average yield variation, rank, Eberhart and Rassel were used. The results of complete analysis variance showed that there were significant difference between lines, area and years, as: 1 – In the between of experiment area, Chaparsar area of Tonekabon and Amol area with 5271 and 5221 kg/ha were significant different as with Rasht area with 3864 kg/ha was at 5% probability. 2 - In the between of experiment years, the years of 1997 and 1998 with average yield of 5099 and 4993 kg/ha respectively, as to 1999, with 4324 kg/ha yield was significantly been at 1% probability. 3 – The between of treatments (Check cultivars and promising quality lines), there was signifiant at 1% probability as with number of 5 , 17 (Check or Nemat), 6 and 3 with average yield of 5506 , 5242, 5153 and 5146 kg/ha respectively were placed in group one in which it have been better status others lines. The lines of 15 ,18 had 4114 and 3961 kg/ha average yield that the end of group II were placed with lowest yield. 4 - With comparison of average yield variation range and rank and Eberhart-Russel methods, the lines of 5,3,6 have been showed good relatively stability and adaptability.
