Evaluation of Promising hulless barley lines and varieties yield on farm conditions

Evaluation of new varieties of hulless barley in on-farm conditions is one of the important steps in release process. Such type of studies have been suggested also by international research centers like CIMMYT and ICARDA. In order to evaluate kernel yield and disease resistance advanced breeding lines hulless barley from Warm zone of Iran . This trial with 4 lines was conducted in Moghan region. Results of ANOVA showed a Non- significant difference between lines for tiller number , straw weight , total kernal weight per plant and harvest index. There was also non-significant differences among the genotypes for kernal yield , plant height , peduncle length , thousand kernal weight and harvest index .Yield mean comparison genotypes showed that entries No 3 (Cm67-b/centeno// 3/row906.73/4/…) were the superior genotypes with kernal yield of 5.428 cam-b/ t/ha . Entry No 3 is one of the andldquoCentenoandrdquocrosses and showes a good resistance to podery milldow .This line also showes a good tolerance to helmentosperium and with a plant height of 90 Cm showed a good TKW.
