The effect of flood water spreading on physical, chemical and fertility of soil was studied in the flood water spreading system in Jajarm, located in west of Boujnord In order to measure the amount of S.P., EC , pH , T.N.V , Ca , Mg , Na , Cl , HCo3 , O.C , N , P , K , SAR , and percentag of sand , silt and clay, some soil samples were taken from A , C and plow layer ( 0- 30 ) both before water spreading, and after 3 times of flood water spreading at the same area . The data were analyzed as split block design. Results showed that after water spreading, the amount of clay, organic matter, bicarbonate, Ca, Mg, Na, SAR and EC increased and sand to silt and clay ratio decreased. Soil salinity, Ca and Mg in plow layer increased. Sand to clay and silt ratio in A horizon and plow layer decreased. Generally, It seem that increased organic matter and clay, decreased sand to other minerals ratio, improve some physical and chemical characteristics of soil that finally resulted in soil fertility.
