Investigation the effects of terbutalin and metaproterenol on some blood compositions and carcass traits of Moghanh culled ewes.

Seventy two Moghani culled ewes were fatten in 24 boxes for 3 months with control diet(C), C+5ppm terbutalin(T5), C+10ppm terbutalin(T10), C+20ppm terbutalin(T20), C+5ppm metaproterenol(M5), C+10ppm metaproterenol(M10), C+20ppm metaproterenol(M20) and low energy diet(LE). Beta agonists were added to the diet at begin of second months of experiment. Only T10 and M20 were increased final live weight and cold carcass weight to compare C, significantly (P0.05). Dry matter intake was lower than C with LE (P0.05). To compare C(15.2), feed efficiency was the most with LE (17.3)and the least with T10, T20, M (5, 10, 20) (12.52,13.23,12.13,11.10 and 11.14 respectively). Only treatments content metaproterenol increased carcass efficiency to compare C, significantly (P0.05)(49.94,50.07,50.64 Vs. 46.31 respectively). The amount of carcass meat was grater with M10 and M20 and carcass meat percent was grater only with M10 than C (P0.05). Treatments of T20, M(5, 10, 20) and LE were decreases the fat tail weight to compare C, significantly(P0.05)(3.64, 3.55, 3.54, 3.52, 3.99 vs. 4.52 kg, respectively). The crude protein percentage was grater than C only with M20 (P0.05). The amount of blood urea was lesser than C with LE (P0.05). Thirty day after consume beta-agonist, M10 and sixty day later , T20, M(5, 10, 20) and LE were decrease blood serum triglyceride to compare C, significantly(P0.05). Economic analysis show that the most profit was to got with M20(P0.05). Also the amount of profit was bigger than C with T10,T20 and M10, significantly(P0.05).
