Investigation on the eclolgical factors influencing natural distribution of Pistacia species in Kurdistan province.

Thes present investigation is carried out between years 1998 to 2003 in Kurdistan ( west of IRAN ). Pistacia atlantica is one of endemic tree speices in Iran and resistant to hard ecological conditions its distribution includes most surface of country and can be found in all places except the North provinces . In this investigation statistics and descriptive data about ecological units and morfological specific on Pistacia trees in different types of Pistacia was studied. The results show that there are seven types of pitacia in kurdistan province&sbquoone of them is pure types of Quercus – Pistacia has the greatest distribiution in province . the greates surface of pure and mixed types of Pistacia are placed in range between 600 – 700 mm rain fall percipitation and in invironmental medium tempreture 10 - 12.5 ��c &sbquopure type of Pistacia atlantica is located in south and western aspects slopes upper 1700 meters above sea level on lord unit 2.2 & 1.2 &1.7 its geological structure is Qtz and Ksh and so has the greatest distribution in evaporation ranges 2000 – 2200 mm. The mixed types have the greatest surface and located in southern aspects slopes and geological structure K2f &sbquoKpm &sbquoMZI. Comparison between D.B.H at 5% level and medium diameter of canopy cover and so number of stem branches at 1% level show the significant differences but ther is no significant effect about in height of trees.
