No specific immunity, fat depth and sow reactivity: facts and speculations

Английский. The behaviour of different sows categories, determined on the basis of their reaction to human presence (fearful, worry or trustful), was evaluated. Some no specific immunity parameters (serum lysozyme, serum bactericide activity, total haemolytic complement) and the fat depth (P2) were controlled in sows at weaning day. A statistic analysis was carried out, comparing each sow category with the other ones. The results raised some interesting questions referred to fat depth. Because of the lack of bibliography on similar researches, we think that further investigations are useful

In questo lavoro è stato valutato il comportamento di categorie diverse di scrofe, individuate in base alle loro reazioni nei confronti dell'uomo (paura, timore o fiducia). Sono stati valutati alcuni parametri di immunità aspecifica (lisozima, attività battericida e complemento) ed è stato rilevato lo spessore del grasso dorsale in P2 al momento dello svezzamento. Si è provveduto a effettuare un'analisi statistica, confrontando ogni singola categoria di animali con le altre. I risultati, per quanto concerne il deposito adiposo, hanno sollevato alcuni interrogativi di indubbio interesse e, non esistendo in bibliografia studi analoghi, riteniamo utili ulteriori approfondimenti
