Efficacy of deltamethrin, on different types of surface for a short time of contact, against Plodia interpunctella larvae (Hbn.) (Lepidoptera Pyralidae) [food industry]

Английский. Efficacy of deltamethrin (0.6 ml a.i./100 ml of H2O; 100 g solution/square m; contact time: 5 min) was tested on surfaces commonly found in food industries. III and IV instar larvae of P. interpunctella were used. The emerging and the fertility of individuals survived after the contact with the active ingredient were evaluated. The exposition of larvae of both instars on different surfaces treated for 5 min caused a mortality lower than 50%. The survival percentage of individuals of both instars was higher on porous tile compared to glass and vitrified tile. After 1 hour from the contact, a higher mortality of IV instar larvae was recorded; no significant differences were found between the survival percentages of III and IV instar larvae after 24 and 48 hours. The percentage of emerging females and males after the contact of larvae with the active ingredient on vitrified surface and glass was lower than the one observed on porous tile. The fertility of individuals emerged from larvae of both instars, survived to the contact on glass and vitrified tile, was lower compared to the one observed on porous surface

Sono stati valutati lo sfarfallamento e la fertilità degli individui sopravvissuti al contatto con il principio attivo. L'esposizione delle larve di entrambe le età sulle differenti superfici trattate per 5 minuti ha determinato percentuali di mortalità inferiori al 50%. La percentuale di sopravvivenza degli individui di entrambe le età era maggiore su piastrella porosa rispetto a vetro e piastrella vetrificata. A un'ora dal contatto si evidenziava una maggiore mortalità delle larve di IV età; non sono state riscontrate differenze significative confrontando le percentuali di sopravvivenza delle larve di III e IV età a distanza di 24 e 48 ore. La percentuale di sfarfallamento delle femmine e dei maschi sopravvissuti su superficie vetrificata e vetro era inferiore a quella osservata su piastrella porosa. La fertilità degli individui sfarfallati da larve di entrambe le età sopravvissute al contatto su vetro e piastrella vetrificata era minore rispetto a quanto osservato su superficie porosa
