Efficacy of chemical fungicides and of biocontrol agents against Sphaerotheca macularis on strawberry related to the moment of application with respect to the starting of infections [Fragaria x ananassa Duch.]

Английский. Powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca macularis f.sp. fragariae) is a serious disease of strawberry in warm and dry climates or in greenhouses. S. macularis is controlled primarily by chemical fungicides, thus strawberry production is dependent on an intensive use of chemicals. As a result of the change of the public attitude toward the use of pesticides, the reduction of their usage in agriculture is required. This can be obtained by means of new alternatives, which at present are inconsistent or not highly effective, but also by an optimization of the timing of chemical treatments. The aim of this research was to evaluate the efficacy of some widely used fungicides (penconazole, azoxystrobin, sulphur) and some biocontrol agents (Ampelomyces quisqualis, Bacillus subtilis, Trichoderma harzianum), applied at different times according to the starting of infections. For all the tested products, the need of their preventive use was evidenced. Penconazole showed also to be slightly effective in curative treatments
Показать больше [+] Меньше [-]итальянский. L'oidio (Sphaerotheca macularis f. sp. fragariae) è una grave malattia della fragola in climi caldi ed asciutti o in serra. La difesa è basata soprattutto sull'uso di fungicidi, ma il recente cambio di atteggiamento dell'opinione pubblica nei confronti dei fitofarmaci rende necessaria la riduzione del loro uso. Ciò può essere ottenuto mediante l'impiego di alternative, che, però, al momento sono poco efficaci e non sempre costanti come azione. Una riduzione può essere ottenuta anche con un'ottimizzazione dell'impiego dei fungicidi disponibili. L'obiettivo di questa ricerca è stato quello di valutare l'efficacia di prodotti ampiamente utilizzati nei confronti dell'oidio (penconazolo, azoxystrobin, zolfo) e di alcuni antagonisti microbici (Ampelomyces quisqualis, Bacillus subtilis, Trichoderma harzianum), con applicazioni effettuate in diversi momenti rispetto all'infezione. Per tutti i prodotti saggiati è stata evidenziata la necessità di impiegarli con criterio preventivo. Il penconazolo ha manifestato anche un certo grado di attività curativa
