Английский. The issues regarding the revision of the regulations on the main means for organic pest control are discussed. The new active ingredients, recently registered in Italy and allowed in organic production, are listed. Furthermore, the regulatory aspects resulting from the abrogation of the article 38 of Presidential Decree no. 290, as well as the related issues and undoubted advantages, are discussed. The major problems associated with the registration of plant protection means for organic farming, with special reference to the validation procedures between USA and Europe, are examined

Sono affrontate le tematiche circa gli aggiornamenti normativi sui principali mezzi di difesa utilizzabili in agricoltura biologica e sono anche elencati i nuovi principi attivi recentemente registrati in Italia e ammessi in agricoltura biologica. Si affrontano, inoltre, gli aspetti legislativi che sono scaturiti dall'abrogazione dell'articolo 38 del DPR n. 290, con tutte le relative problematiche e gli indubbi vantaggi. Sono affrontati i principali problemi connessi con la registrazione dei mezzi tecnici per la difesa fitoiatrica in agricoltura biologica, con particolare riferimento alle differenze nelle procedure di omologazione tra USA ed Europa
