Prospects for the use of Beauveria bassiana isolates in the control of agri-forest insects pests

Английский. The entomopathogenicity of some Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill. isolates obtained from soil was tested in laboratory on bee moth Galleria mellonella L.. The results confirmed the different effects of the various isolates on insects in terms of mortality levels and speed of action. In particular, two isolates were very effective in controlling the pests. An analysis of the metabolites revealed very different levels of beauvericine among the isolates. Aspects related to the presence of the metabolites in the isolates must still be investigated further

I risultati hanno evidenziato differenze di efficacia degli isolati, sia per livelli di mortalità larvale, sia per rapidità di azione. Analisi preliminari sulla presenza di metaboliti negli isolati hanno mostrato livelli di beauvericina molto diversi mentre altre sostanze sono risultate inferiori ai limiti di sensibilità strumentale. Non è stato possibile stabilire relazioni fra livelli di beauvericina e attività dei funghi saggiati
