In order to promote utilization of the feed rice plant as feed for the dairy cattle, a ward of corn silage and TMR of the oats hay as control and 2 wards which supplied 8% and 16% in the dry matter of rice plant whole crop ('Sprice' and 'Minamiyutaka') were established, and the effect on the milk secretion at middle and late periods of Holstein milking cattle was examined (the following WCS). Dry matter intake in the former period is control 25.4+-2.0kg for the control, 24.8+-3.7kg for the 8% ward, and 24.0+-3.8kg for the 16% ward. In the latter period, the values for those wards are 24.9+-2.2kg, 24.8+-2.6kg, and 23.4+-2.6kg, respectively. Milk productions are 28.3+- 3.26kg for the control, 28.7+-4.51kg for the 8 % ward, and 28.0+-3.25kg for the 16% ward. In the latter, the significance was not detected as shown by 27.2+-5.67kg in the control , 26.6+-4.56kg in the 8% ward, and 27.0+-4.39kg in the 6% ward . And, the significance was not detected in weight gain loss, blood component, and milk constituent in each period. From the above fact 'Sprice' and 'Minamiyutaka' WCS are available for feeding the milking cattle, if it is subsitituted for about 16% of the oats hay.
