Seven accessions from apomictic complex Boechera holboellii with di- and triploid sets of chromosomes and three accessions of sexual Boechera stricta with a diploid set of chromosomes were investigated. Endogenous contents of phytohormones, abscisic acid (ABA), indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and cytokinin (CK) were simultaneously measured in top leaves and flower buds at the time of their disclosing. For all investigated genotypes the ABA and IAA contents in the leaves and flower buds were not associated with the reproductive mode. In apomictic Boechera accessions of the Dutch collection, CK concentration in the generative organs was more than twice the CK concentration in the leaves. Genotypes from the German collection showed no association between the Ck level and reproductive mode. At the same time no linkage between the phytohormone content and ploidy level of the investigated genotypes was revealed. In general, the results showed no relationship between the endogenous hormone level and the type reproductive mode.
