An experiment was conducted on paddy grain drying, at two different depths i.e. 6" and 9", having different air conditions. A drying process was carried out by using a drying apparatus consisting of a modified fan testing machine and a drying bin. In the drying process, some of the parameters were kept constant i.e. temperature (35 degree C) for heated air, fan speed (1000 rpm) or air flow rate (0.112 m3/sec) for both heated and ambient air conditions, drying period (2« hr), while grain bed depth remained variable i.e. 6" and 9". Parameters under research were moisture content, relative humidity and temperature. These parameters were determined at both air conditions i.e. ambient and heated air at both grain depth 6" and 9". The results of these parameters were compared and it was found that at the depth of 6" (Heated air) moisture content was reduced up to 11.89%, and at the depth of 9" up to 14.91%. At the depth of 6" (Ambient air) moisture content reduced up to 14.815, and at the depth of 9" (Ambient air) up to 18.17%.
