In an experiment conducted in 1994 and in 1999 three methods of soil tillage (the traditional method - ploughing tillage, no-ploughing tillage and direct sowing) were evaluated according their influence on the potential infestation of medium soil. It was stated that diaspors found in soil were generally not numerous and that the differences between the methods of soil tillage under comparison, as well as the differences between the years of research, were relatively minor. In the course of six years the ploughing tillage system reduced the number of weed seeds and fruits in the soil stratum. In relation to no-ploughing tillage their number decreased by 7.7 percent and in relation to direct sowing, it decreased by 14.2 percent
