The pollen concentration in the air of Lublin was measured by means of the gravimetric method. Samples were taken at two measurement points, 4.5 km apart, to compare pollen fall in different districts of the city. Tree pollen dominated at both sites. Various results of the investigations concerned the number of pollen grain of ech taxon. A greater amount of pollen at site 2 in both years was found for the following taxa: Alnus, Poaceae, Rumex, Plantago, Urtica, Chenopodiaceae and Artemisia. Pollen of Populus and Betula dominated at site 1. The highest concentrations of tree pollen occurred in the same period in both districts. However, the highest concentrations of some herb pollen happened to appear at different times
