The aim of the microplots experiment was to assess the impact of three pH levels of the light and medium soils on the heavy metals content in green matter of rye, of seradella and grain and straw of barley. It was found that the volume of heavy metals in feed crops depended on soil type (texture) and the crop species. Under condition of simulated contamination with heavy metals (Zn, Pb, Cd, Cu) feed crops biomass seemed to contain more heavy metals on the light than on the medium soil. Increasing pH from 4 to 6 reduced the content of heavy metals in feed crops, and this reduction was more evident on the light soil
