The use of wastes from power industry and municipal engineering in agriculture and land reclamation

At present, the Polish law obligates producers and importers to utilize or recycle the obtained wastes. The utilization of wastes is connected with an extra financial outlay, causing at the same time a price increase of the produced product. However, waste recycling may give notable economic and ecological effects. A reduction of the doses of natural and mineral fertilizers in agricultural production in Poland in the last several years may also have some negative effects. The amount of organic substances and plant nutrients in the soil decreased and in the future prospect it may lead to decrease of soil richness and fertility
