In field experiment conducted as split-block method the effect of varying organic fertilization (manure, vermicompost, stubble crop + straw) and nitrogen fertilization (0, 100, 140, 180 and 220 kg N/ha) on morphological features of sugarbeet roots was examined. Mass of single root was determined based on plant harvesting from 2 rows of each plot. Length and thickness of root was determined based on measurement of 30 plants for object. Dates were analysed using analysis of variance. Significant increase of root mass and thickness was observed after applying of 100 kg N/ha), and root length - 140 kg N/ha. Intensification of nitrogen fertilization decreased flattening coefficient in general
