Efficacy of copper compounds in controlling Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria, the causal agent of bacterial spot of pepper

The efficacy of several new formulations of copper compounds in controlling Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria in pepper was estimated under field conditions using artificial inoculation. The experiments showed that copper bactericides based on copper-sulphate tribasic, copper-oxychloride and copper-hydroxide exhibited satisfactory efficacy in controlling the causal agent of bacterial spot of pepper under our climatic conditions.
