To review is developed a unified model for proportional control valves and analyzed the effect of spool lapping on electrohydraulic control system properties. These equations are readily applicable to various types of proportional valves, and they unify the cases of critical center, overlapped, and underlapped valves. Based on present model, it is possible to developpe nolinear control strategies for electrohydraulic system.
