Spring development of some of domestic carnica lines

In this work spring development of bees in different lines of honey bee Apis mellifera carnica during the spring period of observation was studied. The studies determined that the quantity of bees in both spring examinations was higher in G line colonies, while the area of brood was higher and spring development was faster in Z line colonies. Later development of brood of Z line colonies can be favourable in case of uncertain climatic conditions in spring, when due to early spreading of brood and late spring frost brood can catch cold.
