The purpose of this study was to obtain the data about the vascular pattern of the right coronary artery (RCA) and its branches in CAs, and to establish a model for a particular heart area supplied by RCA. Also, we wanted to make a comparison to human RCA are model, and to conclude if those animals have the most human type RCA vascular patern among mammals. In conclusion, RCA anatomy of the CAs resembles to the human analogue more closely than other compared animals in terms of distribution, origin of PIVA, supply of SA and AV nodes and branching pattern. Therefore, the CAs may be a useful model for functional studies on coronary circulation.
