The aim of our study was to analyze foreign DNA present in the feedstuff of experimental animals contained genetically modified Roundup Ready maize. We obseryed the presence of CP4 EPSPS fragment from transgenic maize and zein gene fragment using PCR method, we used amplifwated fragment glyceraldehyde 3-phosphatedehydrogenase from rat genome as the control. We determined individual variability of the presence of determined fragments from transgenic maize and alpha-zein gene fragment in the individual animal organs and among animals by testing the samples. We determined the presence or the absence of observed DNA fragments in animal organs fed by RR-maize is not dependent from the content of genetically modified maize in the feedstujf of experimental animals.
