The paper deals with the species structure influences on growing stock and natural regeneration processes of chosen types of selection forest. Objects of investigation are situated in the geographical region the Slovenské Rudohorie Mts., forest management units Smolník and Mníšek nad Hnilcom. In the paper is introduced the impact of species stand structure on abundance and distribution of natural regeneration and on growing stock. Both stands are on height productive sites. The species majority takes the fir (in the stand 149 is 50%, in the stand 253 is 72,5%). That is why the height growing stock is around 500 m3/ha. However the growing stock of stand is height, the pine in upper three layer provide permission of transmits shine. It leads to good conditions for regeneration processes. The frequency and distribution of natural regeneration is adequate on both sites. Smaller disturbances of the height movements in the lover three layers are situated in the stand 253, however the stand structure is optimal and utilisation of dispose space is lover.
