We conducted this study by using the repeated measurement in completely randomized design to evaluate productive performance between purebred and crossbred (75 percent Holstein Friesian x 25 percent Red Sindhi) which were fed milled rice straw as an effective fiber source in total mixed ration. Each group consisted of seven lactating cows in middle lactation and received the same feeding regime and management. Our data indicated that milk yield, milk composition, including milk, fat, milk protein, solid-not-fat and total solid were similar (P GT 0.05) between two groups. However, milk fat percentage in both groups tended to decrease.
