Objectives of the study were to study the effect of cool down time on sperm motility, viability and methylene blue reduction test. The correlation between sperm motility and MBRT was determined. The experimental design was performed on RCBD, 2 blocks of pool semen (5 cocks per block) and 6 treatments of cooling down period (0, 30 min, 1, 2, 3 and 4 hr). The sperm motility of semen from 0, 30 min, 1, 2 and 3 hr group were higher than 4 hr group (p LT 0.05). The sperm viability and MBRT results of sperm at 0 min group were higher than sperm at 4 hr group (p LT 0.05) but did not differ from 30 min, 1, 2 and 3 hr group. Sperm motility was highly negative correlated to MBRT (R**(2)=0.74).
