Antiparasitic effectiveness of new Bulmectin 0.2% pemix II. Antiarachnoid effectiveness in sheep and pigs

Examinations are carried out to identify the antiarachnoid effectiveness of new Bulmectin 0.2% premix, produced by BIOVET AD, containing 0.2% adamectine per 100 g premix. Bulmetin was administrated individually for internal use once and twice at interval of 8 days in sheep against Psoroptes mange and Ixodes in dose 2 g/10 kg live weight of the premix. The medicine - 1.5g/10 kg lw was given together with food to a group of pigs once and twice at interval of 8 days and 0.5 g/10 kg lw every day for a period of 10 days. Sheep that were twice treated with the medicine were full recovered and cured from P. mange but the mange ticks were not completely liquidated when sheep treated once. High acaricide effectiveness against S. suis was achieved in pigs with three methods of administration.The medicine proved high effectiveness against Ixodes ricinus and Haemophysialis puncta and ovocide effectiveness against their ova.
