It is stated that removal of soils contaminated with oil hydrocarbons may be implemented effectively using various types of bioremediation technologies based on the fet-degrading ability of local microflora. These technologies may be applied at the contaminated site or outside it. Notwithstanding their somewhat slower implementation, these technologies feature material advantages because they do not cause additional contamination and they are typical ecologically-friendly technologies.
