[Progeny assessment for yield and starch content in potato breeding for processing]

Results of an assessment of 69 hybrid combinations obtained from different crosses for yield and starch content are presented. Hybrid populations were selected on high number of seedlings (50,7-68,7 %) combining high yield and optimum for processing starch content (14-19 %). Varieties Sonate, Beluga, Hertha, Delikat, Kupalinka, Skarb, Skazka are differ on their combinational ability on productivity and hybrids 1604-40, K3332, 6xy98-7 in combination with them there were marked the most large quantity of high productive forms. The most perspective for selection of potato varieties applicable for industrial processing of potato into various kind of potato products are the following combinations: 1604-40 x К3332, Krinitsa х Delikat, Adler x Kupalinka, Krinitsa x K332, Krinitsa x Hertha, Hetha х Bronnitsky, Hertha x 6xy 98-7, Albatros x Bronnitsky, Fasan x 6ху 98-7, Sonate x Kupalinka, Beluga x Skazka Acapella x 941937-16
