[Creation of the initial material of the carrot in Belarus]

Modern problems in selections of carrot in Belarus are presented, the results of an estimation of carrots collection varieties and hybrid material of carrot on a complex of the economic-valuable attributes are offered. In 2003-2005 in collection nursery 140 varieties and more than 400 hybrids of carrots, including 8 strain types, are studied, 20 sterile forms, 13 hybrid combinations of carrots are received. The comparative estimation of hybrids of the first generation on productivity, marketability, stability to diseases, and bolting, and also under the content of dry matter, the sum of sugars and carotin is spent
