Winter hardiness study results of 49 variety samples of the domestic plum and 30 diploid plum varieties of Belarusian and foreign selection were presented. Current anomalous weather conditions in early winter and winter/spring periods (cold weather at the beginning of November, unusually warm December and January) led to quick completion not only of physiological but of induced dormancy. Dramatic air temperature fall in February provoked full destruction of flower buds and significant trees freezing. Trees of plum varieties included into the State Register of Varieties of Belarus wintered quite satisfactory and practically fully renewed their potential production to Autumn 2007. According to the research results there were presented sources of high winter hardiness: - varieties and hybrids of the domestic plum such as Narach, Dalikatnaya, Venera, Mirnaya, Kadri, Vikana, Startovaya, 91-7/44 and 91-5-38; - varieties and hybrids of the diploid plum such as Asaloda, Vetraz, Kometa, Mara, Skoroplodnaya, Lodva, Nesmeyana, 87-1/2, 89-1/109 and 90-2/67
