[Identification of tomato varieties and lines with the help of SSR-markers]

Development of the system of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) varieties identification with the help of microsatellite markers which were mapped on the different tomato chromosomes was realized by the example of 27 varieties and samples in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Characteristic (type, lineage structure, selection source) of all analyzed tomato samples was presented. Nucleotide sequences of SSR-primers used for the variety identification were presented. The proposed method of identification of tomato varieties with the help of SSR-markers made it possible to authentically identify varieties, control the genetic purity of varieties and inbred lines, evaluate the hybridity level and create the databank of different tomato genotypes. In course of the investigation there was created the database of tomato SSR-loci which made it possible to develop the unique DNA-passports (containing information about the quantity and size of alleles of the certain loci) for the realization of study of tomato varieties and hybrids and differentiation of each collection sample.
