The objective of this work was to compare the production yield capacity in selected pig genotypes by means of station tests. The research included 4 combinations of crossbreeding (72 pigs in a balanced ratio of sex), where the breed LWD x L was represented in the AB position, boars PN and hybrid boars H x PN, LWS x PN and LWS x D in the terminal sire position. The animals were fed ad libitum. The following production characteristics were achieved: average daily gain: 890-943 g after 85-90 days of fattening, feed conversion efficiency: 2.48-2.68, feed-to-meat conversion efficiency: 4.77-5.08 kg, meatiness: 54.5-55.8%. The genotype significantly influenced feed and feed-to-meat conversion efficiencies as well as the lean meat share in the carcass. With regard to the achieved results obtained, it may be stated that under the present economic conditions of high input prices and low selling prices commercial fattening of pigs is not profitable.
