Mecheri Sheep is one among the five recognised hairy breeds of sheep reared in Tamil Nadu. Acharya (1982) reported the climatic variables for Mecheri sheep in the home tract. However, perusal of literature revealed no information on hythergraph, which is the basis for introducing sheep into a new agroclimatic condition. Hence, the present investigation was aimed to document the hythergraph for the breeding track of Mecheri sheep so that Mecheri sheep could be introduced in places with similar hythergraph.
