Four distinct and new pathotypes of Albugo candida., viz., AC-14 from RL 1359, AC - 15 and AC-16 from Kranti and AC-17 from RH 30 cultivars of Brassica juncea were identified on the basis of their differential interaction with eleven host differentials. These pathotypes sowed stability characteristic symptom on ten host differentials alike original isolate collected on the basis of symptomatological variation in the natural population of the pathogen. AC-15 had a wider host range among host differentials while AC-17 had the least. Incubation and latent periods of the pathotypes exhibited greater variability on the test genotypes indicating the function of resistance genes present in the set of host differentials.
