To evaluate commercial and new sunflower cultivars and hybrids compatibility to cold regions of Esfahan province, 2 cultivars (Master and Lakumka) and 4hybrids( Euoroflore, Alstar, CMS G5 × R-43 and CMS G6 × R-43 ) were planted as complete block design in Chadegan and Semirom .Results showed that days to beginning and end of flowering and maturity , plant height , head diameter , 1000 seed weight , seed yield and oil yield of genotypes were significantly different in Chadegan but head diameter and seed yield had no significant differences in Semirom. CMS G5 × R-43 and CMS G6 × R-43 were the latest and Alstar was the earliest maturity in both regions, but all of genotypes can complete their growth in these conditions . CMS G5 × R-43 and CMS G6 × R-43 produced the highest (4800 kg/ha) and the lowest (2900 kg/ha) seed respectively in Chadegan . Master and Lakumka had the highest and the lowest oil percentage and CMS G5 × R-43 and Lakumka produced maximum and minimum oil yield. Decreasing of days to development stages and lack of significant difference of seed yield among genotypes in Semirom was related to environmental conditions and later planting in comparison of Chadegan. However Euroflor and CMS G6 × R-43 hybrids produced the highest and lowest seed and oil yield in Semirom. Early planting of CMS G5 × R-43 hybrid in spring can recommend to obtain the highest seed yield in cold regions of Esfahan province, and earlier maturity genotypes such as Euroflore can use for late planting.
